The year 2012 has been good with several new places visited that I must update now my Lakbayan map. For a change, I’m now an A+ traveler!
What has changed since the 2011 update? Well, I’ve finally been to the Bondoc Peninsula visiting the four old churches there. Apayao also become my 79th province to have visited with a trip to the Mataguisi ruins in Pudtol.
I have also been coming back and again in Zamboanga Sibugay when I wrote about the province for Mabuhay magazine as well as got invited to its Sibugsay Festival. Siquijor also capped my 80 provinces in the Philippines.
How about this year? I’m scheduling a trip to the Caramoan peninsula in Bicol this April. Southern Palawan is also in the bucket list that I should visit this year too. Other than that, Alabat Island is in the horizon to visit the former site of Gumaca Cathedral. And I might be able to go to eastern Batangas too a few months from now.
The rest, I will still have to schedule it: The islands of Ticao and Burias in Masbate, Lubang Island in Batangas, Panaon Is. in Leyte. While Mt. Apo and Taal Lake are still tentative.
