Yes, I love the modern and minimalist suites of Costa Pacifica in Baler. It’s a well designed private space with a great color palette that is welcoming and refreshing. Unlike cheap hotels that give you stuffy rooms, the Junior Premier Suite that we stayed at was quite spacious, at 40 square meters. It’s not only in terms of floor area but it has a high ceiling as well, at least for the top floor where we were, that add to its appeal.
The room is bright thanx to floor to ceiling windows that lets in light. The walls are white but never boring because of the colorful nature motif consisting of pastel colored leaves that have been painted at specific areas making it fresh. The veranda also provides a breathing (or smoking) space if the inside becomes too cold because of the airconditioning.
Turndown amenities are provided during afternoons in the form of bitesized sweets as well as a welcome fruit platter with Baler’s signature suman. But what really makes the rooms endearing are the comfortable and styling beds and fluffy pillows. The sheets are immaculate and you would just want to lie down, perfect for a great rest after a long drive from Metro Manila. Even the sofa are comfy enough to sleep in.
Now, if only the wifi signal is stable as the location of the routers are in the main building only, although there is 3G signal. Other than that, it’s the perfect place to wind down after a long day of touring around Baler and for those who love surfing, a great space to refresh for the next day’s riding the waves.
