It was fun shooting the five buildings of which, I’ve only been to one. Published this month in my travel column, Langyaw Travel in Going Places magazine, August 2017 issue is my article on the phenomenal smartphone game, Ingress as the best mobile game for travelers. This location based game is the first one developed by Niantic, the makers of Pokemon Go and released in 2013. This is also the game I’m currently addicted to and have traveled to Taipei and Melaka just to attend Mission Days. Check the magazine out!
This month is rather interesting as far as Going Places magazine is concerned. Other than the feature on People Of Travel where I was included as one of #TeamGP, I was able to make two contributions for the June 2017 issue. For my Langyaw Travel column, I wrote about Teofilo Garcia (above photo spread), Abra province’s National Living Treasure recognized for his effort in preserving the craft of gourd hat making, which, unfortunately, he is the only sole surviving craftsman. It’s finally out! My first travel column, Langyaw Travel is now readable in Manila Bulletin’s Going Places (formerly Cruising) magazine. Here, I’m writing about my adventure in Apayao province in north Luzon looking for the Mataguisi church ruins built and later abandoned by the Dominicans. This is a new development for me as a travel blogger and great thanx to Lorraine Lorenzo who invited me to be part of this magazine.
