The latest 4-star premium hotel in Cebu, One Tectona Hotel, makes its home in the northern town of Liloan. It had it’s soft opening last February.
One Tectona Hotel is one of three hotel projects by Duros Land Properties, Inc. located in the hinterlands of Yati, Liloan, a first class municipality. Nestled within the Woodlands Park Residences enclave, it’s a beautiful structure that will also house offices and residential units. It’s name is derived from the scientific name of Philippine teak, Tectona philippinensis, a tropical hardwood which is abundant in the area. The tree is locally called yati, which is also the barangay’s name.

It’s a four story hotel with 102 premium rooms which affords great views of the surrounding area as well as it’s immediate environs. Because of its location, one can see Magellan Bay in Mactan as well as Cebu City’s skyline in the distance. It has an infinity pool, an outdoor lounge and an open air restaurant, Teak Modern Cuisine. There’s also a game room and fitness gym.
Guests and visitors can also tee off at the par-72 Liloan Golf Course, which is 5 kilometers uphill with free shuttle service. But a few steps from the hotel is the Woodlands Golf Academy where one can practice at its driving range. Soon, outdoor enthusiasts can explore the area when it’s extensive bike and hiking trails will open.
One Tectona Hotel will definitely put Liloan in the map and make northern Cebu’s attractions, from food to history to culture, more accessible for tourists.
