Celebrate 4th of July at Cafe Uno, the Waterfront Hotel Cebu

It’s just a few days away and our American friends will be celebrating their 240th commemoration of their Independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. For Filipinos and expats in Cebu, this joyous event is marked with a series of activities at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. There’s a motorcade, a fashion show, among others. And of course, food. What is a celebration without this very important preparation?

The special 4th of July buffet at Uno, the hotel’s main restaurant offers sumptuous American and Filipino dishes in the run up to the main event this Monday. There are delicious grilled meat, the ribs and different types of sausages are highly recommended and so are the sliders, mini burgers that I was really glad of ordering. There’s American-Italian fare, not just pastas, of course and a host of other dishes that identifies it as Americana with its many influences.

Of course, the dessert bar is not far behind and I had a great time sampling the cheesecakes, the special bread pudding, pumpkin pie and lots more. Check them out. The 4th of July buffet is currently ongoing till 10 July.
