Thai Me Up is one of my favorite restaurants whenever I’m in Cagayan de Oro City. They serve delicious Thai dishes in a setting that is modern, hip and cool. Opened in 2009 by a CDO based couple with their first branch in Capistrano street. A second, smaller branch is located at Ayala Centrio.
It’s a beautiful restaurant. Spacious at 2000 sq. m., a lush garden with ficus trees and gazebo and a few outdoor seating. Inside, is an interesting interior that is bright, colorful, with high ceiling and a mixture of the old and new with an eclectic collection of chairs, a happy mixup of different styles and other found vintage items.

But of course, the beautiful interior is a plus. The food is excellent. It usually what Thai restaurants in the Philippines offer. I love the fried thai spring rolls with lots of vegetable filling. Bagoong rice is a crowd pleaser and with a thin strips of green mango, can be a memorable dish.
Although I’m not so much of a tom yum goong person, I do love the taste of the soup, rich but just enough spiciness, although you can request the degree of heat for the dishes. The pork spare ribs was crunchy and tasty too but it was the pad thai that I really loved among all the dishes offered. I then finished my dinner with mango mambo, not a thai dessert but still good. The mangoes are really sweet.
The food is good, the ambience is great and what will surprise you most? All that for a reasonable price.

Thai food is the best. I used to watch Big Bang Theory and all of the characters there love Thai food. I just imagined how good it must be. Good to know that thai food are already available here in CDO.
I really love every food of Thai cuisine, the taste of their food is undeniably delicious. But, among theses restaurants were mentioned above, I highly recommend the SIAM. =)
For me Thai Me Up is one of the best restaurant that serves Thai cuisine in Cagayan de Oro. The prices are also affordable, their Capistrano branch is also stunning because the Asian/Thai design.
I have tasted Thai Me Up’s foods during our Company’s 2014 Christmas Party and it’s guaranteed, I was really satisfied that time. 🙂 Imagining all of those delicious foods right now makes me crave! Yay!
