Getting pampered at a high end spa in Manila

We visited Le Spa in Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila for some pampering one afternoon. As we have booked an appointment two days before, we were led to the changing room, sauna and jacuzzi before the massage treatment commenced.

Le Spa is not solely just a spa. So Fit, the luxury hotel’s fitness area is at the second floor. Dressed in bath robes, we were given a glass of tea and asked to chose from a music menu (we chose nature sounds) while we awaited the room and therapists to be ready.

Le Spa is Sofitel Manila’s signature high end spa located at the basement and accessed at the parking lot, via the hotel garden and another path near Spiral. It’s a well designed, modern spa that is conducive for wellness and pampering. It has an extensive menu of services and treatments for men, women and couples with both local (hilot), standard and signature massage packages being offered.

The spa’s second floor lounging area was dimly lit as the sounds of nature filled the space. In a few minutes, we were led to our massage treatment room for two. Light toned down and the same soothing nature music was playing. Our massage therapists were then preparing the aromatic oils and towels and after a few more minutes, I was lying prone and feeling the first glides of the therapist’s hands.

I didn’t expect the petite ladies to be that experienced with their hands, nimble but delivers the pressure I want. They do take feedback well and adjust to your instructions as well as feeling you well pampered. After more than an hour, I was feeling refreshed and renewed with the back pains and knotted muscles addressed.

It’s just so good to rest and doze off after having a very good massage.
