A delicious fastfood find in Roxas City

Don’t know where to have a budget friendly but delicious food in Roxas City, carinderia style? Check out Pizza Junction along Rizal St. and just beside Roxas President’s Inn. It’s airconditioned, has good meals and desserts. It’s also pleasantly designed set in a beautiful heritage house in streamline moderne architectural style!

Whenever I’m in Roxas City and want fast meals, be it lunch, or snacks, I head to Pizza Junction. Food is good and delicious, service is fast and the place is clean. I had their kare-kare which looked tempting with its heaps of meat and bone slices as well as vegetables.

I took a bite and just enjoyed the gelatinous ligament while the meat is tender. The brown sauce is nutty and bland, my kind of kare-kare, which went well with the salty and semi sweet bagoong. For a Kapampangan dish, this was one of the dishes that I really liked.

The giniling was also great. Tender ground meat with raisins and minced carrots and potatoes which were just par boiled and soft enough. The pizza, which I expect to be the star of this joint doesn’t disappoint. Although the crust is just so-so, it is the heaps and heaps of toppings that surprised me and enjoyed immensely! The lasagna, with its sweetish sauce, is okay.

While I was making my order, I can’t help notice a tray full of plump and beautiful ensaymadas (brioche) that I just have to get one. Never mind if my order is more than enough. As expected, the ensaymada was really good! One of the best that I’ve tasted. It was freshly baked. The bread was soft and fluffy that is just perfect for your teeth to sink in to.

Topped with sugared cream and lots of grated cheese, the sweet and salty taste of both ingredients made an interesting medley. I enjoyed this so much that the next day, I ordered another!

Other than meals, pizza and ensaymada, Pizza Junction has other products like siopao, pasta and other desserts. Its a great place for comfort food!
