Cebu City is quite busy these days with Sinulog 2014 preparations in full swing. I happened to pass by Osmena Boulevard today and those big municipal billboards, the so called carousels, advertising their tourism sites are already being put in place. Posters along the road are starting to be visible and, one of the most awaited if not most popular Sinulog decor, that by Penshoppe, is already up.
But if the Penshoppe installation is an indication, more subdued and simpler compared to the pomp of previous years, will we see a more austere Sinulog, in deference to the Yolanda disaster? Or more devotees flocking to the Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino, with its decapitated belfry to pray and ask a favor.
But if you decide to visit Cebu for this momentous event, do book NOW, both tickets and hotels, enjoy the revelries and parties and don’t forget to pay homage to the Holy Child.

Hah! Sobrang taas na and fully booked na ng tickets for Cebu!! Been there last year for Sinulog 2013, it was a blast, even if it was pouring hard it didn’t stop devotees for the parade! Its an experience that all Pinoy’s should really do.
malapit na kasi ang sinulog kaya medyo mahal na talaga. and hotels are sure to be booked na rin. pero fun 🙂
