My Davao travel article and images in Space Magazine travel issue

Space Magazine Travel Issue Vol 3 is now at newstands and bookstores (P199)! This one features lots of interesting places, design ideas and wonderful architecture that will surely interest the well traveled and discriminating.

But what I’m most proud of is that my travel article and images of Davao City was published, entitled Southern Charm. I was in Davao City when Sheryl, the editor texted me to submit a travel feature for this issue. And since I was already there, the last two days of my five day vacation was spent looking, shooting, interviewing and tasting. And there are a lot of new things to do and eat and go to in Davao City now!

In Sheryl’s tweet yesterday: I love your Davao piece! A refreshing addition to @SpaceMagazine! Ahem.

i love how the magazine managed to preserve the integrity of the photos in the spreads. i’ve seen a lot of locally published travel magazines which suck at that. good job, Space. good job, as always, travel journalist Estan!
