My blog post: How I discovered Pilita Corrales in Cebu is first prize in the recently concluded Gabii sa Kabilin Blogging Contest.
The entry focused on my experience visiting the Jose R Gullas Halad Museum in the old Freeman (a local newspaper) building and my encounter with the beautiful song, Matud Nila as sung by the sultry singer. It bested other entries, garnering 238 points out of 300. The win carries has a cash prize and a certificate.
I really didn’t expect this one as I’ve not seen the other entries but it surely won over the judges.
