There are a few Kidapawan hotels that you can choose from and when I visited Kidapawan City to document the Arumanen Manuvus, an indigenous tribe in Bantangan, Carmen in Cotabato province, I stayed at these two hotels before and after my documentary work. While there are other Kidapawan hotels and inns in the city, I chose these two more because of price and access.
Recommended Kidapawan Hotels
Park-Lay Suites
Park-Lay Suites is one of the bigger hotels in Kidapawan City with a good location within the city proper. It’s not along the main road though. It’s just near the capitol and a good base if you’re visiting Lake Agco Mountain Resort.
Why I like this hotel:
- spacious room with comfy bed
- typical Pinoy breakfast that is free and good for two
- ample parking space
- located at a quiet area
- budget friendly
Of the two in this post, I will book this Kidapawan hotel because of its location central location.

Q&A: Where to Stay in Kidapawan City
Q: What are some recommended hotels in Kidapawan City?
A: Two hotels I recommend are Park-Lay Suites and Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel. I stayed in both during my documentary work in Cotabato. They’re budget-friendly and accessible.
Q: Why should I consider staying at Park-Lay Suites?
A: Park-Lay Suites offers spacious rooms with comfy beds, free breakfast for two, ample parking, and a quiet location near the capitol. It’s a good base if you’re visiting Lake Agco.
Q: Where is Park-Lay Suites located?
A: It’s within Kidapawan City proper, near the capitol but not along the main road. This makes it quiet yet still central.
Q: Is Park-Lay Suites budget-friendly?
A: Yes, it’s affordable considering its location and what’s included, like breakfast and parking.
Q: What makes Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel a good option?
A: It’s modern, budget-friendly, and along the main road. It has good Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and decent parking.
Q: Where is Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel located?
A: It’s near the boundary between Kidapawan and Makilala, outside the city center but still accessible via jeepneys and tricycles.
Q: What are the downsides of staying at Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel?
A: It’s not in the city proper, rooms are smaller, and breakfast isn’t free. However, you can pay extra for breakfast on-site, which is more convenient than going out.
Q: Which hotel is better? Park-Lay Suites or Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel?
A: I prefer Park-Lay Suites for its central location, larger rooms, and free breakfast. But if you’re on a tighter budget or Park-Lay is full, Red Doors Plus is a solid option.
Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel
Red Doors Plus @ ABC Landmark Hotel is another cheaper but good hotel in Kidapawan. It’s modern and accessible as its along the main road, near the city boundary. Wifi is good, bed is comfortable and has a parking area, albeit smaller than Park-Lay Suites. It’s budget friendly too.
Some things to consider when you book this Kidapawan hotel:
- its not at the city proper but near the city boundary with Makilala town
- if you have a private vehicle, this is a good option although there are jeepneys and tricycles passing here but it might be difficult to commute at night. In my case, my hosts drove me around so mobility was not a problem.
- rooms are smaller compared to Park-Lay Suites
- breakfast is not included but you can pay if you want to have one. This is a better option than heading out
I would have opted for something within the city proper but during my first night in Kidapawan City, Park-Lay Suites didn’t have an available room and the other hotels were expensive.
So, if you’re looking for budget friendly Kidapawan Hotels, these two are solid recommendations and I have personally stayed here. Although I would prioritize booking at Park-Lay Suites and second option will be ABC Landmark Hotel because of the location.
