You will definitely love Sheraton Bandung

Comfort. Design. Service.

Three words that I love about Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers. After a long day’s tour and going around Bandung, enjoying the sites, the food and architecture, nothing beats the cozy comfort that the hotel’s suites offer. Foremost is its Sheraton Bed that makes all the difference to one’s stay with its high quality cushioning foam and quilted fabrics, the wondrous feel of the sheets as you touch it as well as the feather and down pillows. Whether you have the Garden Access Room at the ground floor which opens to a well kept greenery, the Tower Room with its luxurious space and amenities, or if you opt for the very spacious Presidential Suite, all are elegantly furnished.

For a blogger who loves good architecture and interiors, its the way the hotel is built and designed that makes a lasting impression on me. It may not have the height of other modern hotels in the city, but what it lacks in elevation is steadfastly compensated for its resort feel, for its interesting textures and, especially that Bandung is known all over the world for its wondrous art deco architecture, this art deco heritage is echoed in the lush details of the lobby, the balustrades of the second level and in the verandas of the Tower Rooms, to the gorgeous interior of Feast Restaurant as well as at the Tower Lounge. Ah, the Tower Lounge. It’s opulent, and elegant. Great natural lighting in the morning and I can just see myself at the veranda watching the mist rise from the land as the sun rises. In fact, Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Tower’s overall design exudes a colonial character and heritage that is familiar yet modern.

And of course, service. In my first visit to the country, I’ve just experienced many times how Indonesians are hospitable and friendly, and this trait is clearly exhibited by the staff at the hotel. And its because of this that I feel so at home here.

Have a feast at Feast

Breakfast buffet is inclusive of stay at the Feast Restaurant and the food, other than the usual western breakfast fare, has an Asian section where you can choose a variety of noodles, sauces and spices. Although there is no pork served here, Indonesia is predominantly a Muslim country, there is, however, beef bacon! Strange for me to experience this one but an alternative if you really crave for bacon. There is a good salad selection as well as the main at one area including drinks but, of course, the fruits and desserts station has lots to chose from! They have homemade ice cream too. If you can, try the ala carte menu as well. I had a wonderful dinner as I gorged on grilled Australian tenderloin and had a traditional Indonesian dessert, pisang goreng with chocolate sauce and ice cream.

Its a hotel ideal for families

Sheratong Bandung Hotel & Towers is also the perfect hotel to stay for the family considering its location as well as family friendly facilities. We all know that Bandung is Jakarta’s weekend escape: cool weather, great food and dining destination and of course, shopping. Add that there are lots of things to do and visit in this beautiful city. But even if you and your family just decide to have a staycation, you have enough to keep you rested, or the kids have fun.

Kids can look forward to having fun and making new friends with Play@Sheraton. Situated at the Towers Garden, it’s a playhouse and playground complete with slides and swings. There are creative activities as well like tshirt coloring, puzzles, Lego. They can also do board games and Wii/Playstation. Even horseback riding within the grounds or handfeed bunnies! For the adults, there’s a whole lot of pampering to chose from, whether a relaxing massage at the Shine Spa, go for a sauna, fitness gym, or just have a wonderful time with the whole family at the pool.
