A luxurious stay at The Bellevue Resort Panglao

Ah Summer. With the heat soaring to the 40s in Metro Manila, you would want to just spend it somewhere invigorating. Like a five star luxury resort in Panglao. Great food, great weather (well, you can always retreat to your temperature controlled room), pristine beach and just do nothing all day. Vacation.

The Bellevue Resort Panglao in Barangay Doljo, Panglao, Bohol is an oasis, a refreshing resort that not only is far from the maddening crowds of Alona Beach but it’s a great place to stay if you want some peace and quite, although if you want beach action, you can always motor to the other side where the crowd is.

But here? It’s perfect. For one who prefers peaceful retreats, I love the place. The deluxe suite room with a comfortable king sized bed that I had was quite spacious at around 45 sq. meters. It has a great view of the sea and the pool below. The wifi is fast and amenities are great.

For food, ala carte dishes are available at the different restaurant venues, be it at the Lamian World Restaurant where buffet fare is served morning, lunch and dinner, to that beautiful and massive tropical hut that houses Marea and Cena open air restaurants. During nights, you can have cocktails at Flujo with live music during weekend nights.

You can have a relaxing massage at Azurea Spa, or just have a swim at the beach with less the crowd. The infinity pool is also inviting. But if you prefer to explore Bohol, the resort can always help you with their tour packages.

But what I like most other than the comfort, peace and privacy? It’s the well designed interiors of the resort that really makes me smile. It’s well designed, especially the lobby with many indigenous materials and crafts that exudes a true tropical vibe. And of course, the warm and friendly staff who goes out of their way to make you feel at home.
