It has been a tiring two weeks: trekking in Abra and shooting in El Nido, Palawan, staying at different resorts per day. The result, I was tired and was yearning for days of staying put to catch up with my emails, blogging and online tasks. Or just rest.

As I still had two days of stay in Puerto Princesa which I was intially planning of using to explore some southern municipalities, I just stayed put. Slept. Rested and catching up. Good thing that I stayed in One Rover’s Place, upon the recommendation of a friend.

The hotel may not be the spankingly new structure that are sprouting up around this city but nonetheless, it was comfortable with spacious rooms and afforded me the much needed rest. For those two days, I was just inside the comforts of the airconditioned deluxe room.

It has fast wifi, good enough for my uploading needs for around 150 high resolution images for my web client. It has free breakfast everyday (although you get to chose three different kinds, which for me is kind of limited). The room is clean, the hotel quite and the good thing that I love about it? PROXIMITY. It is easy to find, it’s just close to the airport, around three minutes ride and the hotel provides free airport transfers.

Whenever I get hungry, I just walk. Popular Kinabuch is just opposite it. If I want Ka Lui’s, its still a few minutes walk away. If I’m craving for hot arroz caldo, especially during wet nights I was there, I again walk. Sating chaolong and french bread sandwich or a local fast food for lunch or dinner? It’s again walking distance!

One Rover’s Place has 13 rooms which caters to different types and number of persons. They have arconditioned dorm type rooms for those traveling as a group, a standard room for those on a budget, a big family or even an affordable executive suite with veranda.
