It was because of Photoquai 2013, the major biannual photography event exhibition where my personal photography work, THE NEW CATHEDRALS was selected, that I was able to visit Paris last month during the opening. There, 40 of us photographers from around the world (except Europe and the United States) welcomed visitors during the opening.
And it was such a great opportunity indeed! For the total of eleven days that I was in Europe, I was able to visit not only Paris but southern France and crossed the border to Spain to enjoy great architecture both old and new, sumptuous food and really great places to travel. When was gazing at the Eiffel Tower the first time, I can’t help but smile in amazement!
The trip also afforded me to fly to Abu Dhabi, although I was only at the airport for a total of six hours, I still got to see a true desert and the barrenness of such a place. I’m just so thankful and I do hope, there will be future opportunities to be exhibited (and get invited) again!
Photoquai 2013 is still ongoing till 17 November 2013. There are also a selection of works, including mine exhibited within the Paris Metro. If you are in the vicinity, do visit our works.
