In search of Pudtol’s church ruins

It was unexpectedly a long and uncertain trip as I didn’t have any idea where the ruins of Mataguisi in Apayao are. But it was all worth it. It was a great adventure.

Blast from the past: Ang Langyaw in Tumauini

I stood mesmerized infront of that brick wonder. Its massive circular pediment with a huge rose window at the center, the finials, whirls and flora. Its circular belfry looks more like a wedding cake with its whitewash color and decorations of flowers, shells and diamonds was just a sight to behold.

Why you should visit Tappiyah Falls in Batad

The waterfall was just beautiful. Majestic. The rush of water makes a thundering noise and misty sprays make the scene magical especially if one has spent the past one hour (or more) trekking down to this wonder. But it is such a wonderful sight!

Part 1: Going to a Maitum wild adventure

Maitum is not only anthropomorphic burial jars, bangsi, pawikans and rubber plantations. At its hinterlands remain one of Mindanao’s remaining stand of virgin forests that is in danger of falling under man’s greed. We embarked on an adventure to visit a poorly known and yet unnamed waterfall. This is a series.
