Travel is not all about reaching the destination but making the journey the destination itself!

Not too many Filipinos know it but the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal visited Cebu overnight during his sentimental journey, his last, from Dapitan to Manila in 1896. He was supposed to serve as a surgeon in the Cuban army but five months later, was gunned down at Bagumbayan.

The best lechon (roast pig) in the Philippines is found in Cebu. And the best one in Cebu is traditionally from Talisay City. Twelve kilometers south of Cebu City and facing the rising sun, it is where my roots are from. My hometown.

I travel solo because I like the freedom it entails. Solo helps me think, ponder and discover more of myself.

A bit of a cliche really, but Baguio City, with its cool weather, attractions and stuff has still so many things to offer couples who still believe in its magic to strengthen bonds.
