I just love this simple white beach. No question about it. Bitoon White Beach in Brgy. Birhen, Anda, Bohol is unassuming, no pretense whatsoever and you can just dip at its clear waters, frolic and enjoy the sun, sea and sand. If you want, you can even dive in one of its modest cliffs.

Located at the western side of the municipality, where its more rocky and the white sand is shorter compared to the Quinale Beach side, Bitoon White Beach doesn’t have the shallow, knee deep water of the eastern side.

Dive in and in a few meters, you’re already neck deep but I loved it! There’s nothing like immersing your whole body into the warm sea than sitting on sand with one’s chest still exposed. If the sun’s too hot for you, you can just go to the rocky outcrop where it’s a bit shaded and cooler.

Bitoon White Beach is known to the locals. But because this is Anda, you don’t have much competition or the swimmers are there on weekends only. Usually, its sun loving foreigners, usually Europeans that you might have to share the beach with but they’re mostly lying on the sand, getting a tan.

While Bitoon White Beach’s space is smaller, one can also go to the adjacent open lot with lots of coconut trees, coraline rocky outcrops and talisay trees and just enjoy the refreshing breeze or take photos of the beautiful scenery.

To get to Bitoon White Beach, hire a habal-habal or a tricycle at the town center and tell them you’re going to the place. Fare is around P10/person if you’ll just get down at the highway and walk for 20 minutes or P30/person to bring you at the beach itself.

My great thanx to Mayor Angelina Simacio for hosting me in Anda, Bohol and to Kathy Pitlo for guiding me around the municipality.
