Coron is always a great place to visit. Lovely white sand beaches, a salty hot spring, pristine island lakes, island hopping and with those spectacular rock formations, a memorable vacation. For such a small town, looking for the perfect hotel can be challenging. But Coron Soleil Garden Resort, and its budget friendly sister, Coron Soleil Express Hotel are highly recommended. Great service, good food and well appointed location.
Coron Soleil Garden Resort
When we last visited Coron last July, we stayed at the Coron Soleil Garden Resort, a premium hotel with fine comforts that offers relaxing and worry free travel when you are in this parts. I love their rooms! Beds are comfortable, non slip flooring at the toilet and bath with dependable wifi. I like their cucumber scented soap and shampoo too! Like all their rooms, these have large windows with sheer curtain that diffuse natural light and blackout curtains for privacy. But what I like most is that our suite is just a few steps to the sprawling 288 square meter kiddie and adult pool. It’s great for relaxing after a long day of island hopping around Coron. By the way, all their suites, from the Poolside Suite, their biggest, to Deluxe, have poolside views.
Stays at Coron Soleil Garden Resort comes with a sumptuous breakfast buffet with a good selection of breakfast fare at the hotel restaurant just adjacent to the lobby. It’s good that they have a varied juice drinks other than coffee too. The restaurant offers international and Filipino dishes, either ala carte or in a buffet setting. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights have night specials and includes a live band, DJ mixes and movie screenings, respectively.
Hotel located at a quiet place
This hotel in Coron is tucked in a quiet location, Mabentangen Road in Barangay 6 which is at the periphery of the town proper. To give you a better perspective of its location, its just at the foothill of Mt. Tapyas. It is accessible via tricycles, the main public transport. You just need to tell the driver the name of the hotel and he’ll take you there. Because of the limited number of rooms, I love that you can have a more personalized service as well as a non crowded resort.
Coron Soleil Express Hotel
Just adjacent and located behind Coron Soleil Garden Resort, Coron Soleil Express Hotel offers stays at a much budget friendly price point. Although cheaper than the former, it still gives good comfort for guests. It has 27 deluxe and two family rooms with its own lobby and a wifi zone. The Express Cafe, the all day restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and ala carte menu. You can also order for room service. Access is still thru Coron Soleil Garden Resort via a connecting path behind the deluxe rooms at the back.
