Who says eating vegetarian food is boring? Not until you sample Executive Chef Simon Sperling’s creations at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotal & Casino that you might swear to eat nothing but his vegetarian creations!
What I like about it? Other than being healthy, the smorgasbord of delightful dishes not only teases your palate with the different textures and flavors, the wonderful colors and aroma is an overall sensory experience. It’s dining at its best without the guilt!
The memorable food that I really liked?
The orange glazed tofu on brown rice is one dish that I really liked. It’s savory. You can actually taste the orange but just enough to not overpower the other flavors. The tandoori cauliflower bamboo skewers with coriander chutney really burst with that indian flavor but just roasted enough to not dry out.
The mung bean hummus crostini is also one dish that surprises. I love mung beans and is a bit of a staple back home. Here, its a smooth blend that had me scooping it with the thin and crunchy crostini. The pizza with roasted vegeatables is also flavorful with lots of mozzarella!
But for the entire selection, I really loved the lentil couscous salad with Malagos feta cheese. It has lots of contrasting flavors, textures and just good with every spoonful. Do check out these vegetarian fare at Waterfront Cebu’s Uno restaurant.
