Tagaytay City is not only famous for its scenic view of Taal Volcano but with its climate way cooler than Metro Manila, it’s the nearest go to place if you want to escape the oppressive heat in the metro, especially when its summer. But why go on day trips when there are actually several lodging accommodations? And if you’re on a budget, D-Zone Backpackers Inn is a good choice.
D-Zone Backpackers Inn has amply spaced rooms that cater to different budgets. There’s the dorm type rooms, two double decks, a standard and deluxe rooms. Because it offers a hostel type of accommodation, the toilet and bath areas are communal, located at each end of the floor.
I was offered the deluxe room, a spacious room with a queen sized bed that has a view of the outside. I do like the pillows as these are fluffy and soft but still enough to give neck and head support. The mattress is firm but not hard. The staff is also very helpful and hospitable.
Although there are no dining facilities, there were several budget eateries around the place or for higher end and better restaurants, there are always the ones in Tagaytay and some cafes along Aguinaldo Highway.
The inn is not really in Tagaytay, but in Silang Cavite but the distance is just short and going to Robinsons or the different restaurants and cliffside attractions of Tagaytay like Skyranch is just a few minutes jeepney ride. The location is quite and safe and affords you to have a budget conscious accommodation.
