I really got excited going up PAL’s newest plane as me and other guests explored and tried out the amenities inside the aircraft. Heck, I even had my first cockpit photo!

Philippine Airlines is making waves with its introduction of its newest, bi-class, long range aircraft, the Airbus 330-300 High Gross Weight jet with a new innovative and hi-tech business class. This marks the third stage of its fleet modernization program that started in August 2013.

The latest A330-300 accommodates 368 passengers – 323 in economy, 27 in the more spacious premium economy and 18 in the new business class. The last one, is really hitech with the Equinox 3D seats manufactured by Sogerma, an award winning seat supplier, without compromising comfort.

I’m really looking forward to fly the A330-300 HWG plane when I will finally visit one of its destinations. The new long haul planes will service the routes from Manila to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Haneda, Nagoya and Seoul.

Do check out Philippine Airlines when you travel to these cities and enjoy the new hitech business class and innovative wireless app.

Free wireless entetrainment downloads possible with PAL's new app
In-flight entertainment (IFE) is via a free wireless app that passengers can download. It’s the first of its kind in the Philippines wherein they can enjoy flight entertainment via their own gadgets like smartphones, tablets and laptops by streaming from the app. PAL also offers iN AiR, its innovative service that offers GSM and wifi connectivity enabling passengers to make calls, SMS and browse the internet (charges apply via roaming).

The new Business Class features full 180 degree flat bed
The new Business Class features full 180 degree flat bed at the push of a button. With almost two feet width, it provides comfort for long haul flights. What makes this configuration interesting is that the two seats, once fully extended is V-shaped with the window side moving to armrest level and the aisle side moving down to just above ground. This is efficient use of space that offers easy egress from the window side.
