Dusk was gathering and the moon, a point of light in the darkening sky when we arrived in Lahus Island off the Caramoan peninsula. It was a rather fun yet tiring day as we island hopped, visited a hidden cove, trekked a hill and just enjoyed the beautiful beaches of the many islands in this archipelago and I thought, that was it. Another island to visit but not really to bathe in its waters. READ MORE: An interesting hidden cove in the Caramoan islands READ…Continue Reading “Moonlight, dusk and loathing in Lahus Island”

We were just driving from Tabaco City to Legazpi City in Albay and when we reached the town of Malilipot, saw a road sign to a waterfall. It is said to stretch…Continue Reading “A refreshing swim in Malilipot’s Busay Falls”

Inato Lang Restaurant at the Dapitan Aquamarine Park (Dampa) is a popular dining destination along the Liboran River where the city’s river cruise plies. The food here is highly recommended and you can have it even if you won’t be availing of the river cruise tour. It was raining when we arrived here for lunch and it was just fitting that we started with a…Continue Reading “Delicious food at Inato Lang in Dapitan City”

This should be interesting! I said to myself as I was walking at Ayala’s top floor at the new wing, towards a restaurant and have dinner with other Cebu based bloggers. Ah. The space was bright yet inviting and festive with the many people occupying all the tables inside. The interior is hip and modern with its North Shore vibe. But the sight of live crabs and grouper in an aquarium made me salivate. What an encouragement! This should be an interesting hike… I thought to myself when I saw the note posted at the start of the trek (right photo). And just as we started our descent via an iron stairway, I fully realized the steepness. That note was conditioning us! Casaroro Falls in Valencia is one of the popular waterfalls in Negros Oriental province and, with a height of more than a hundred feet, probably one of the lofty cascades in the island. It’s located in the…Continue Reading “Burning fats while trekking down to Casaroro Falls”
