Delicious food at Inato Lang in Dapitan City

Inato Lang Restaurant at the Dapitan Aquamarine Park (Dampa) is a popular dining destination along the Liboran River where the city’s river cruise plies. Built in a kubo (native hut) style, it’s comfortable and airy and guests are entertained by a singer and guitarist. The food here is highly recommended and you can have it even if you won’t be availing of the river cruise tour.

It was raining when we arrived here for lunch and it was just fitting that we started with a belly warmer, a hot and delicious soup of tinolang liplipan. Liplipan is a type of fish. But when the table was laid out with other delicious food like garlic prawns, chili crabs, crispy pata and the like, what better to do but wash one’s hands and dig!

I really loved the garlic prawns which were fresh and tender and with the sauce, made it all the more delicious. The chili crab dish was mildly spicy which was just good for me. Not too big but these were quite fatty. The crispy pata was already chopped but delectable with not too thick a layer of fat and the meat flavorful. The vegetables were also fresh and crunchy while the calamares is crispy yet tender inside.

But nothing really beats the chili crabs and garlic prawns. Really tasty. If I didn’t rush for my flight back to Manila, I would have lingered more, ate more.
